Mobile Home Releveling in Greenville, TX
Full releveling of single and double wide mobile homes across Greenville and Hunt County. Pier-by-pier adjustment to bring your home back to a true, stable set.
Mobile home releveling is the process of bringing every support point under your home back to true. Over time, piers settle into the ground, shims compress, and the frame drops in spots. That shows up as sticking doors, cracked drywall corners, sloped floors, and gaps between walls and ceiling trim. Left alone, a home that is out of level puts continuous stress on the steel frame, plumbing joints, and marriage line on a double wide.
The work starts with a site walk. We measure the deflection at every pier location using a rotary laser and a story pole, note where soft ground or standing water is present, and mark the low points against the highest reference point on the frame. From there we lift each low point in small increments using a hydraulic jack seated on a solid base, add shims or reset the pier as needed, and re-check the reading before moving on. It is slow, methodical work. Rushing it is how you crack sheetrock and split trim.
Homes in Greenville and the rest of Hunt County sit on expansive clay soil. Clay swells when it takes on water and shrinks in the long, dry Texas summers. That seasonal movement is the single biggest reason mobile homes in this area drift out of level even when the piers were installed correctly. During a releveling we look for the specific pier locations doing the most moving so we can address the underlying support, not just the symptom.
For HUD-code manufactured homes we follow the pier-and-anchor system the home was originally set with. Piers along the main I-beams get first attention, then perimeter piers, then any marriage-wall support on a double wide. Anchors and straps are inspected while we are under the home so anything loose, corroded, or pulled gets flagged in the same visit.
Most single wides can be releveled in a single visit. Double wides and larger homes with heavy settling can take longer, especially if piers need to be reset onto proper footings. We give a clear scope after the walk, in plain language, and the on-site quote is free.
